Our Story
LiveSustainably was born in 2021 from a serendipitous meeting at a climate action conference in Portland. Mila Kirk, presenting her research on urban heat islands, met Alex Rivera, who was documenting his year-long zero-waste experiment. Over coffee in reusable mugs, they discovered a shared frustration: the gap between academic environmental knowledge and practical, everyday application.
